The Empire Story

Empire Management, Inc. started business in 1989 with a computer, a four-plex, and a vision of becoming the premiere property management company in the Inland Empire. From the beginning, we learned that the most effective way to serve our clients was a "hands on" approach, based on "management by walking around". We found that there is no substitute for understanding the physical property, its residents, and the owner's goals.

Through the years, Empire's President and staff gained stature and recognition due to their involvement in leadership positions with state and local apartment owners associations and community service organizations.

An example is our work with The Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino. In 1996 the Authority initiated a pilot program to privatize a portion of their portfolio. Empire was selected to participate and continues to meet and exceed the Authority's performance standards.

Another example is when we worked closely with the City of Ontario's Neighborhood Improvement Task Force to revitalize a mile-long street of apartments infested with gang and drug problems. "Management by walking around" gained control of the street and dramatically increased rents and property values within Stoneridge Village.

Our work and community involvement was recognized when we were given the extraordinary honor of being selected by the Upland Chamber of Commerce as recipient of their "1998 Business of the Year" award.

    Empire has specialized in rental property management since July 1989. Empire has developed proven management systems that have made us the premier property management company in the Inland Empire. Our experience lends itself perfectly to the management of all types of rental housing; Rental Owners Associations; and, Home Owner Associations. We have established long-term relationships with our clients, our residents, HOA Boards, and a host of contract vendors that supply products and services for the maintenance of your investment.

    The Officers of Empire Management have been involved in the rental housing industry since 1977. We have owned, developed, built, and operated numerous investment properties. We have consulted with the City of Ontario and the Owners at Stoneridge Village in the formation of their Association by providing information on all aspects of property management including Landlord/Tenant laws. Empire was hired to manage Stoneridge Village in January 2000. Our extensive experience in both Residential management and Association management assisted the Board of Directors in creating and implementing policies to enforce the Associations CC&R's. The response to our efforts from the majority of the Associations members has been positive. The living environment of the neighborhood has improved greatly, along with the quality of the residents. Rents and property values have dramatically increased. Our President is a Department of Real Estate approved instructor, teaching Property Management in a "welfare to work" program with the Housing Authority County of San Bernardino.

  3. We Understand Your Residents:

    Our staff is comprised of several Spanish-speaking individuals. As such, your residents can communicate with our office as necessary. The Account Supervisor assigned to your community/property will be able to converse fluently with your residents and/or owners. We have interpreters available, through our involvement with the Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board for several Asian dialects.

  4. Our Management Style is "Hands On":

    Our Account Supervisor's are "Property Walkers." Quite literally, our staff assigned to your Account will be on your street performing walking tours at least twice per month. This affords them the opportunity to become thoroughly familiar with the properties, the Owners and the residents. You can't manage what you don't understand.
